SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS AND INFORMATION IS NOW LOCATED IN THE CAREER CENTER

The Albany Police Benevolent Association is accepting applications for the 2007-08 academic year. One

$500 scholarship will be awarded. Criteria is: Applicant must be a student from West Albany or South Albany High School, must be going into a law enforcement field and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. You also must be sure the application is filled out completely in black ink or typed and signed, include two letters of recommendation and a 500 word essay. The Balanced Man Scholarship application provided by Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Oregon State University is available in the career center or apply online at www.osu-spe.com. Male students who will be attending Oregon State University are encouraged to apply. Applicants should excel in the fields of academics, athletics, leadership and community service. The deadline is July 30, 2007

Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation application is available in the career center. To be eligible, you must be a U.S. legal resident and have taken your SAT or ACT. Deadline: May 15, 2007

The Oregon Association of Broadcasting Foundation is offering a minimum of $6000 in scholarships for Oregon resident students who are majoring in Broadcast Journalism, Production, Management, and/or other broadcast related studies at eligible Oregon institutions. To be eligible, you must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

W.A. Brooks Scholarship School of Business at University of Oregon is available in the Career Center. To be eligible you must anticipate enrollment at U of O School of Business. The scholarship must be used for the year it is granted. For further information, go to the career center. The deadline is May 15, 2007

The Molly Babcock Memorial Scholarship is available to a senior in need. This is a $500 scholarship available to a senior who is or has been enrolled in an Art course during the past four years and plans to further a career in performing, applies and/or fine arts. There is no GPA requirement but good citizenship is a must. Applications are available in the career center. The deadline is May 11, 2007

Weyerhauser Scholarship Application is available in the Career Center. You must have a minimum 3.25 GPA and plan to study Science and Math or Business and Math in college. For an application and more information go to the career center. The deadline is May 8, 2007

Rotary Club of Albany Scholarship application is available in the career center. The scholarship is for $1,000 and will be awarded to a senior who shows great promise, perhaps has overcome a difficult situation, was late bloomer or got a late start. For more information go to the career center. The deadline is May 15, 2007

Altrusa International of Albany is seeking scholarship applicants that will be enrolling at Linn Benton Community College. To qualify your GPA must be between 2.5-3.0. For an application or further information, go to the career center. The deadline is May 23, 2007
